We are currently recruiting experienced Welders to work on the Hinkley Point C project. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled welders with a strong trade background and experience working within safety-critical, highly regulated environments.
We are seeking reliable, site-ready welders with experience across sectors including nuclear, defence, marine, power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, heavy engineering, and major infrastructure.
What you’ll be doing
As a Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality welding activities in line with project requirements, welding procedures, drawings, and strict quality standards.
- Performing coded welding activities to required specifications
- Working from engineering drawings, weld maps, specifications, and work instructions
- Ensuring weld quality, inspection compliance, and traceability
- Completing required documentation accurately
- Following site safety procedures, RAMS, and permit requirements
Working effectively within a controlled project environment
What we’re looking for
- NVQ Level 2 (City & Guilds or SVQ) or equivalent welding qualification
- Strong relevant welding experience, minimum 3 years’ experience preferred
- CCNSG Safety Passport (or able to renew expired passports)
- Coded welding experience, ideally to BS EN ISO 9606 or equivalent
- Previous experience working within highly regulated environments such as nuclear, defence, power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, heavy engineering, or major infrastructure
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and welding documentation
- Strong understanding of weld quality, inspection, and traceability requirements
