Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to lead and deliver major infrastructure and development projects from feasibility through to detailed design. The role involves producing and reviewing technical documentation, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and managing project risks across quality, safety, programme, and cost. Candidates will be client-facing, liaising with stakeholders and supporting business growth through bids and proposals. The firm values leadership and collaboration, so mentoring junior staff, sharing expertise, and driving innovation and best practice are also key parts of the position.

What are we looking for?

• Preferably Chartered Civil Engineer (ICE or equivalent) with substantial UK experience
• Proven track record leading medium to large-scale civil projects
• Strong technical foundation—roading, drainage, utilities, earthworks
• Experienced in managing teams and mentoring junior engineers
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Commercially minded—competent in fee proposals, resource planning, and budget control
• Self-motivated and collaborative—able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
