Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking architectural practice based in Birmingham, recognised for its collaborative, design-led approach and strong technical delivery across commercial, industrial, healthcare and public-sector projects. With a well-established reputation for producing innovative, robust and compliant design solutions, they combine architectural expertise with a rigorous approach to safety, quality and project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Principal Designer to join a growing multi-disciplinary team and play a key role in shaping design risk strategy across a diverse and expanding project portfolio.
As they continue to secure high-profile and complex schemes, our client is looking to appoint a dedicated and knowledgeable Principal Designer to strengthen their design and compliance capability. They are seeking a proactive professional with strong experience in CDM Regulations, design risk management, and coordinating H&S responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be confident engaging with clients, designers and contractors, leading the development of pre-construction information, overseeing compliance, and ensuring that design risks are identified, communicated and effectively mitigated. This role offers the chance to influence best practice, support internal teams, and contribute to the continued development and success of a respected and ambitious architectural practice.
