About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced NEC Supervisor to join their growing team and play a key role in delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. Working as part of a consultancy (not the contractor), you will oversee site works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of utility, road, Infrastructure, Drainage, and enabling works projects while also contributing to design work when site supervision is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision
• Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure they align with project designs and specifications.
• Verify that materials and workmanship meet contractual requirements.
• Identify and resolve non-conformance issues, liaising with contractors and design teams.
• Maintain accurate records, site diaries, and NEC documentation.
Design & Technical Support (Office/Home-Based Work)
• Complete, support and contribute to infrastructure design work when site supervision is not required.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to refine specifications and project requirements.
• Ensure designs are practical and align with site conditions.
• When not undertaking site supervision work, the candidate will undertake technical design work and reporting.
• The candidate will be used to the various adoption procedures for highway authorities and potable and wastewater utilities, along with the latest SAB guidelines.
Requirements:
• NEC Supervisor Accreditation (Preferred but not essential)
• 4-5+ years of experience in infrastructure design and supervision
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk products
• Competent in the design of drainage, highways and civil infrastructure with the assistance and support from Senior Engineers.
• Ability to work both on-site and in-office (Cardiff-based), with some flexibility for home working
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to enforce contract specifications
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders
• Must have good written and verbal communications skills.
• Full UK Driving License and access to own vehicle is essential as you will be required to travel across South and Mid Wales (travel paid 45p per mile)
