Job Description

Our client is a highly regarded multidisciplinary design consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering innovative and technically excellent projects across a diverse range of sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Architectural Technologist to join their Birmingham studio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual to play a key role in the delivery of projects from concept through to completion. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will support the production of high-quality technical information, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and contribute to the successful delivery of a varied project portfolio. The practice offers a supportive working environment, hybrid working, and genuine opportunities for career progression and professional development.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree qualified in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
  • Around five years’ industry experience as an Architectural Technologist, Architectural Technician or technically focused Architect
  • CIAT accreditation, or working towards Chartered status, would be advantageous
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK construction methods, detailing and Building Regulations
  • Experience producing detailed technical drawing packages and construction information
  • Proven ability to coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and wider project teams
  • Proficiency in Revit, ArchiCAD or similar BIM software
  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience delivering projects across multiple RIBA work stages
  • Sector experience within education, commercial, residential, industrial or public sector developments would be beneficial.
