Are you an experienced Architectural Designer, Technician, or Technologist with strong Revit skills, interested in joining an established architectural studio based in Cardiff?

The studio specialises in residential, non-food retail, and retirement living projects. They are pretty much only using Revit in-house, so good working knowledge is essential.

Key skills/ qualifications:
• HNC/HND in Architecture/Building Construction or BSc in Architectural Technology or other recognised approved equivalents.
• Eligible member of an appropriate professional institution (MCIAT or recognised approved equivalent) would be beneficial.
• Good understanding of Building Regulations and relevant technical design guidance.
• REVIT experience is essential.

What you’ll be doing:
• Capable of providing technical design support to project teams and be able to deliver successful projects in accordance with client requirements.
• Undertake the role of team member, working flexibly and independently where required in support of the project leader while being efficient in managing one’s own time.
• Ability to undertake tasks required on the day-to-day delivery requirements of projects at all stages, including production of design deliverables, providing accurate technical information, addressing technical queries, Site Inspections, condition surveys, monitoring delivery; identifying proposed design change which could impact on fees, change controls, slippage of programme to Project Leader, etc
• Knowledge of current building legislation, construction technology and product development to undertake the production and coordination of design and construction information.
• Understanding of duties and responsibilities under CDM Regulations.

Other things you should know:
• It is 5 days a week in the office
• Core hours of 9:00–5:30, with flexibility to start earlier or later if needed (e.g. 8:00–4:30 or 10:00–6:30)
