Our client is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support the successful delivery of capital projects from construction through to final handover. This is a hands-on, site-based role working across multiple operational sites, ensuring assets are commissioned safely, compliantly, and to the highest technical standards.
The successful candidate will lead and support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities through to operational handover, ensuring all systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements. This will involve overseeing commissioning processes on site, supporting plant testing, sign-off, and performance verification, while working closely with Project Managers to help achieve project delivery targets.
A key aspect of the role will involve reviewing contractor commissioning plans, RAMS, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications, Health & Safety legislation, and CDM regulations. The position will also involve resolving site-based technical issues, attending FATs and SATs where required, and contributing to technical investigations and design reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
The role will require regular participation in project and client meetings, maintaining strong communication across stakeholders, and ensuring all commissioning and close-out documentation is accurate, complete, and properly recorded prior to handover.
