Our client is a very successful award-winning multi-disciplinary consultancy with a diverse range of clients across the UK. The have delivered planning and engineering services across a wide range of sectors including Residential, Commercial, Health care, Defence and Education, delivering high quality solutions utilising advanced technologies to always achieve clients’ expectations.
Due to increasing workload, they have a clear vision to grow the company and are looking for a Principal Transport Planner/ Associate to join the team based in Winchester. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals to lead by example and contribute to a successful and enjoyable work environment.

• Commercially lead selected projects and employ appropriate control measures to ensure that fees are managed and invoiced accurately
• Attention to detail producing high quality designs, reports and drawings
• Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• IT and Software skills, proficient with TRANSYT, LINSIG, ARCADY, PICADY, AUTOCAD; etc
• Project management skills and knowledgeable of the Planning Regulatory framework. Planning and transport policy as applied to development
• Developing client relationships and attracting external work opportunities
• Ensure that all outputs are delivered to a high quality, comply with standards, legislation and client expectations in accordance with agreed timescales
• Ensuring that the company complies with statutory obligations, including CDM and Health and Safety
• Work with the transport planning team to regularly review the format, quality, presentation and production of reports ad strive for continuous improvement in this area
• Working knowledge of relevant highway standards, including the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and the Manual for Streets
• Establish and develop a transportation presence in the Winchester office
